Vitamin E

20 IU

Studies indicate that Vitamin E may slow the aging process through its antioxidant properties. It is also an important anticarcinogen, and speeds wound healing. It may also be useful in treating or preventing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and menopausal symptoms and it enhances immune function. It reduces blood pressure, aids in preventing cataracts, and relaxes leg cramps. It also promotes healthy hair and skin, and may prevent or slow age spots.

EPA and DHA are omega-3 fatty acids (also known as essential fatty acids or EFAs) that are found in cold-water fish. There are a number of studies that show that EFAs protect against heart disease. Another important role of EFAs is their role in the production of prostaglandins, hormone-like substances that regulate our body’s functions (including the cardiovascular, reproductive, immune, and nervous systems). Research has linked EFA deficiencies to a variety of chronic illnesses, including heart disease, cancer, arthritis, allergies and various immunological disorders.
