Amount

Action

Zinc

15 mg

Zinc is needed for cell reproduction, growth, and development. Zinc is also thought to be essential for the sensory functions of sight, taste and smell. Some studies on zinc have indicated that it may help symptoms of stress, and may enhance immune functioning. Low levels of zinc may also be involved with prostate problems.

Saw Palmetto PE 25%

1280 mg

Saw Palmetto acts as a diuretic and urinary antiseptic. It inhibits the production of dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that contributes to enlargement of the prostate. It may also enhance sexual function and desire.

Nettle Root Extract

50 mg

Nettles act as a diuretic, an expectorant, and a pain reliever. It is frequently used for anemia, arthritis, allergies, and kidney problems.

Pumpkin Seeds Extract

50 mg

Pumpkin seed extract is useful in the treatment of prostate disorders. It may help with the symptoms of difficult or painful urination due to benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

100 mg

ALA is likely the most powerful antioxidant. Unfortunately, our body produces less ALA as we get older (the time we need it most!). ALA helps to neutralize the effects of free radicals on the body by enhancing the antioxidant properties of vitamins C and E and glutathione. It also plays a role in the proper functioning of two key enzymes that convert food into energy. It is also essential for the metabolism of blood sugar, and is very important in diabetes.

Quercetin

100 mg

Quercetin has been used for treating atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, and other cardiac diseases. It is also helpful in the treatment of diabetes, allergies, asthma, viral infections. Some research indicates that it may play a role in the treatment of cancer.

Coenzyme-Q-10

25 mg

Co-Q-10 isn’t considered a true vitamin because it is synthesized in the cells, although it does behave like a vitamin. It is important in energy production (especially in the heart, liver and immune system). It is a very powerful antioxidant, and may help prevent cell damage (and therefore may help slow the aging process). Much of the research has been on Co-Q-10 and the heart, and shows that it may help angina, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular problems. As an antioxidant, it is also likely important in the prevention of cancer, and may help chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction.
